Thank Rajan Zed for Idaho visit

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed,

I want to express my deepest appreciation for your recent visit to Idaho.

It was a great opportunity for Idahoans to learn from a religion and a culture that is rather uncommon in our great state.

I believe these exchanges of ideas make everybody stronger, wiser and better. That's why I must relay my gratitude for your efforts.

I would also like to invite you to return to Idaho at any time.

We would be delighted to have you back.

Thank you.

Subject: Tell a friend to thank Rajan Zed.
Rajan Zed, a Hindu statesman, gave an invocation at the Idaho Capitol last week. For the most part, he was treated well, but a few Senators, and one in particular was outright rude.

Sign this thank you to statesman Zed and we'll tell him that we appreciated his visit to the Gem State. It will also tell the world that Idahoans are good, decent people.

But most importantly, it will tell our lawmakers that offensive behavior is not tolerated by the people of this state.

I hope you will join me.

    Derek

Rajan Zed opened the Idaho Senate with a Hindu invocation on March 2. Unfortunately, not all Senators exhibited appropriate behavior that day, one in particular, Sheryl Nuxoll, made some comments that were particularly abhorrent.

Help us put that ugliness behind us by celebrating Zed's visit to our state. The overwhelming majority of Idahoans have the decency to show respect for other cultures and religions, even if it is not their own.

By thinking Zed for his visit, we will demonstrate that Idaho should not be judged by the ignoble behaviors of one person -- even if she is an elected official.
